What has economics to do with culture? Or culture with economics? More than we might think. Come join Liberty21 Institute Executive Director Larry Kaufmann and a distinguished panel of guests address how these two intersect at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington, DC on Friday, December 6 at noon. Lunch is included. Fellow panelists include:
- Paul Cantor – An English professor at the University of Virginia. Among his books and other publications is “The Invisible Hand in Popular Culture: Liberty vs. Authority in American Film and TV.”
- Virgil Storr – A senior research fellow and director of Graduate Student Programs at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. Among his published works is “Understanding the Culture of Markets.”
- Charles Murray – A fellow at AEI and the author of such seminal works as “Losing Ground,” “The Bell Curve” and his latest “Coming Apart: The State of White America, 1960-2010.”
Jonah Goldberg, who needs no introduction, will moderate the event.
