Jonah Goldberg

If you happen to be in southern or central Michigan tomorrow, please consider heading to Hillsdale College, where the Liberty21 Institute is hosting a panel discussion at addressing the provocative question: Can Conservatives Reclaim the Culture? Since the last election, many on the right have begun to argue that conservatives have lost the culture and that getting back into the cultural mainstream is essential to any long-term success for conservatives and/or the liberty movement. Culture, they now realize, is far too important to leave to the one side of the political divide.

But can conservatives and libertarians get a foothold in the culture? That’s the question the panelists will consider.

The distinguished panel of speakers includes American Enterprise Institute fellow and best-selling author Jonah Goldberg;  National Review contributor and director of the Dow Journalism Program at Hillsdale College, John J. Miller; Brad Lips, CEO of the Atlas Economic Research Foundation; and Heartland Institute Director of Research and American Culture editor S. T. Karnick.

The event takes place at the Dow Center at 7:00 p.m. and is open to the public.

If you don’t happen to be  in south central Michigan or thereabouts on the 16th, the Liberty21 Institute will have video up at their website and Youtube after the event. To find out more about Liberty21, visit their website here. We hope to see you in Michigan tomorrow.
